Clean, green and good for business

After 25 years of litigation and activism, Robert Kennedy Jr has reached the conclusion that the push for better environmental practices isn’t just for the sake of the forests or wildlife. The activist, lawyer and famous son is lending his name to the green-tech cause, heralding sustainable energy as the way forward. Preserving the world around us, he says, isn’t just about the fish and the birds—it makes good business sense, too. For Bobby and Adriana—both twenty-something Aucklanders “stuck in the corporate 9-to-5 grind and drowning in adulthood”—it’s a creative outlet that lets them share their tastes with a wider audience. The range, which they describe as classic with a cheeky air, riffs on pop culture, while never taking itself too seriously.

Tourist territory

When you live in a tourist town, gangs of sightseers clogging up the footpaths are just part and parcel of the experience. But some take the issue of sidewalk traffic very seriously. The answer? Segregation. One New Yorker has clearly delineated the boundaries of Fifth Avenue, leaving no room for misinterpretation. The battlelines have been drawn.

Whirlwind journey

Following the route of Jules Verne’s book, filmmakers Romain Pergeaux and Alex Profit managed to condense 80 days into just 80 seconds. They stopped in London, Cairo, Mumbai, Hong Kong, Tokyo, San Francsico and New York, filming for three weeks and whittling their final round-the-world trip down into less than two minutes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2N8NaUHR5XI
