Trade Me is handing over its homepage daily deals to 1-day from next month. Craig Jordan, Trade Me’s head of marketplace, said there would be three offers every day powered by 1-day, running from 10am for 24 hours, or until sold out. But it’s business as usual for Trade Me’s own daily deals arm; Jordan said the Treat Me team would “continue to do the great things they’re already doing”.

QR codes may be practical, but they’re sure as heck not pretty. The ugly little box is no more, however, as far as Kiwi company SET QR is concerned. From its tiny Wellington office and a flat in downtown Tokyo, the company takes standard QR codes and inflects them with individual, branded personalities.

When it comes to the latest fundraising initiative for Christchurch, it’s a case of both what you know and who you know. Pixels for Christchurch involves turning artist Shane Hansen’s artwork ‘Arohanui Otautahi’ into 100,000 pixels that the public can purchase, raising $100,000 for Christchurch in the process.
