Update: I was thinking of Freakonomics when I wrote this—and it didn’t take long for Stephen Dubner to pick up on it.

Just stop smoking without any other actions or decisions than not to smoke. It is that simple. You won't become famous but I guarantee you will feel healthier and will look better for your decision.
