Internet names up for grabs

ICANN has decided to allow any top level domain name (like .com, .nz, etc). If you have a “low six-figure dollar amount” you, too, could have your own TLD. Sounds like a massive cash grab to me—why not just give the TLDs to the people with the matching dot-coms? Give .ibm to ibm.com, and .xero to xero.com.
