Samwoong Lee’s Octopus chair

Despite being covered in enough paua to blend in seamlessly at the old Paua shell house, Samwoong Lee's Octopus chair is really quite elegant. 

Part of a series, including a table and a lamp, the Octopus chair relies on the light-reflecting properties of the paua (or mother-of-pearl as Lee calls it) to give it an organic feel.

If you are looking for a piece of furniture that will stand out from the rest of the pieces in your home, this will make a great choice. It is stylish enough to be placed in the living room and makes a good conversation piece for those parties you might throw.
