London’s red & green bus design conjures criticism

Britain’s iconic double-decker red bus is receiving a makeover, but critics are calling the bus a waste of money, saying it’s more about style than substance. Among its features—aside from its more aerodynamic look—the technology could deliver a 40 percent increase in fuel efficiency and a 40 percent decrease in CO2 emissions. The buses have three entrances and feature hybrid-electric engines in each wheel.
