The Ferrari of the future?
By Design Daily Team,
What might the hypercar of the third millennium look like?
That was the underlying question posed by the 2011 Ferrari World Design Contest and it may just have been answered with the announcement of the winners in Italy.
The number one design came from Hongik University in Seoul, South Korea, where students Cheong Ju Kim, Ahn Dre and Sang Suk Lee envisioned their 'Eternita' two-seater concept powered by a hydrogen generator and superconductive electric motor.

The trio completed an initial 2D design, then generated a 3D model as well as building a physical 1:4 scale model.
Ferrari’s current chairman, Luca di Montezemolo, says they provided the finest interpretation of Ferrari’s design brief, brimming with new generation technologies and materials.
"Nurturing the creativity of young people is a fundamental strategy in every walk of life. The Ferrari World Design Contest represents a window that we want to keep open on the world and the creative energy of the next generation. Who better than the youth can express the dreams and desires of man?" Indeed.
