By Idealog,
Pixar. Weta Digital. Microsoft Studios. OpenFeint. Robot Entertainment. Carnegie Mellon's Entertainment Technology Center. What else could it be but AnimfxNZ 11?
The country's only dedicated animation conference is three days of games, animation, storytelling and visual effects, with keynotes, workshops and master classes in everything from bootstrapping a company to protecting your IP as an indie developer. Learn tips, tools, technologies and insights from some of the world's best in craft, network and generally enjoy an excess of fun.

This year's mix of international speakers has just been confirmed and includes:
Pixar artist Enrico Casarosa

Consultant and Carnegie Mellon teacher Carl Rosendahl
Now in its sixth year, AnimfxNZ 11 is organised by the NZ GAV Trust, a group of digital media professionals dedicated to advancing the games, animation and VFX industries in New Zealand. It's hosted in partnership with the Visual Effects Society (VES) and the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences (AIAS).
