Win! Nekminnit with Mr Vintage

And then nekminnit, a free t-shirt turned up on your doorstep!

Kiwi skater Levi Hawken was relatively unknown outside the world of Ollies, grinds and other terms we’re not really familiar with, until a recent 20/20 documentary brought him into the mainstream.

The profile resulting from his TV appearance, though, was nothing compared to the worldwide fame a nine-second YouTube clip has led to.

The clip shows Hawken’s reaction to having his scooter munted by assailants unknown while he popped into the dairy. “Nek minute” has become an internet meme, with the YouTube video being watched more than 600,000 times, hundreds of tribute videos appearing, the Twitter hashtag #nekminnit becoming shorthand for anything humorous and unexpected (e.g. Happy Feet swimming along, #nekminnit”) and, of course, Mr Vintage bringing out a t-shirt.

We have five Nekminnit t-shirts, courtesy of the ace dudes at Mr Vintage, to give away to readers. You'll have to work a little for it, though.

Email idealogmag@gmail.com with #nekminnit in the subject line and your contact details in the body of the email, and your best Nek Minnit line. Open to New Zealand residents only, closes November 30.

While you ponder your winning line, get an earful of this...
