(That's 'fashion' in Sweden, the homeland of Absolut.)
The redesign of the iconic bottle, launched today, features stylised crystallic glass and a midnight-blue textured silk cloth wraparound.
To celebrate its release, we have two Absolut Mode Edition prize packs to give away, so whether you're a hardcore Absolut collector or just an appreciator of fine vodka, enter by leaving a comment with your best cocktail recipe. You must be 18 or over to enter. Closes November 18.
Need inspiration? Here's Kiwi mixologist Chris Harrop's take:
45ml Absolut vodka
20ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
10ml elderflower cordial
Top with soda
Build ingredients over ice in a tall glass, and garnish with a thin cucumber slice.

My own [non white rum] version of Rocket Fuel
1 shot vodka
1 shot tequila
1 schnapps
splash of bitters, twist of lime.
Stand well clear. Objects in the glass may appear closer than they are.

Beats everything, everytime:
Ice cubes
2 pt Absolute vodka
5 pt charlies mango and orange juice
1 p Galliano
Shake the Absolute and juice and strain into highball glass, with a few ice cubes - float Galliano on top. Garnish with slim slice of orange

Credit for this fantastic cocktail (refreshing / bitter / sweet) to Nick Derecourt of the Oyster bar, Nelson (since closed).
My take on it:
30 ml Absolut Citron
30 ml Campari
3-4 fresh lime wedges, squeezed and added.
150 -200 ml Pink grapefruit juice.
2-3 tsp Passionfruit pulp.
Build ingredients over ice in a tall glass. Top with L&P. Sublime!

Spudnik Re-entry
- 1/3 glass V or RedBull
- 2 ice cubes
- Slice of cumber
- 1/3 glass of Cranberry juice
- 1 - 2 shot of Baileys
- 1 - 4 shots of vodka
(Alcohol quantity varies depending on what stage of “re-entry” your in)
*Caution the final stage is not recommended - as with all good sputnik missions you usually burn-up in the atmosphere!
