Win! Flutes and champagne to fill them with!

The craftsmanship of winemaking and the ancient art of glassblowing have officially collided, and the result is pretty stunning.

Internationally renowned glass artists Luke Jacomb and Kate Rutecki (once upon a time featured in a previous edition of IdealGear), have teamed up with Deutz to design a collection of limited-edition handmade flutes – and we have a set to give away to one reader.

Inside the pack: two Deutz flutes and a bottle of Deutz Marlborough Prestige Cuvée 2008, valued at $640 all up.

Want it? Then leave a comment and tell us: if you were a wine, what kind of wine would you be? (No more than three adjectives, please.) Closes December 19, open only to New Zealand residents over 18.

velvety, vibrant, with passionfruit notes

Sparkling - fizzy, easily drunk

Sparkling Rose. Cheeky & blushing!

I'd open the eyes, ears & mind of the drinker to the sparkling insights of those around them!

I'd be a Malbec - delicious, full-bodied and teeth-staining!

I'd be a Cab Sav - deep, smooth and earthy

I'd be arneis - vibrant, global and fresh!

Complex, bold, sophisticated

I'd be a shiraz - full-bodied and full of life

I'd be PORT!
Sweet (sometimes sickly so) and very appealing before bed.

Sake - unusual and best enjoyed in small servings. ;-)

I'd be a NZ Sav Blanc - I'd explode all that is glorious about a Kiwi summer in your mouth!

Merlot – Deep Dark Red, almost black with full Curves!

A dessert wine - I'm naturally sweet and come in a small package!

Sav blanc - Sharp, a bit fruity and very very pale

Chardonnay. A very dry un-oaked chardonnay.

I'd be a deep, earthy and warm Merlot.

Harsh, insipid and musty.

A Cristal Champagne, sprighly with delicate bubbles…..

I think I'd like to be be a shiraz / cab franc blend: ripe fruit, warm earth, and soft, without any harsh tannins when I'm gone

I would be a fruity, peppery, chocolatey Shiraz

A classy, fizzy champagne.

A hint of pear, light and with a little tangy linger at the end

Merlot… fruity, spicy, vibrant, as it benefit from cellar time and ages nicely just like me

Fizzy, cold, refreshing

mysterious, fruity, scintillating

crisp, fresh & smooth

sweet & mellow yet suprising

full bodied, delicious and tangy

Bubbly, aromatic and addictive!

Chardonnay richly flavoured with sublime texture and a lingering aftertaste

Merlot - deep, red and just a little bit dry

Pinot Gris - a bit of a mutant clone of all things good.

Sparkling Shiraz - no one can really work out why they like it, what it has going for it, but they still enjoy hanging out with its originality.

Bubbly, blushing and sweet

A tart, crisp and dry bubbly.

Definately a Gwertz - gotta go with the spice

I would be the cab merlot on our table:
Made from grapes harvested with care,
Aged in peace,
Shared with loved ones.
