UK designer eyes posters for Christchurch
By Design Daily Team,
UK-based designer Peter Godkin is out to create a series of posters to raise international awareness about Christchurch's ongoing struggle.
He hopes to find like minds to collaborate on getting the project off the ground and perhaps start a wider marketing campaign, and even an online portal for fellow creatives to bring their visual thoughts to the table.
"My wife and I have a strong connection to Christchurch ... and I have thought for a good while that I should get a project going to highlight the persistent problems the people of the city are having with the continuing earthquakes/tremors," he says.
He says it's important to support existing initiatives for creatives in Christchurch, many of whom hail from the entrepreneurial and small business sector.
Godkin holds international membership to DINZ and says it would be a bonus if putting out the word through global networks resulted in raising funds as well.

Like the idea, Peter. As a graphic designer, illustrator and CSD member based in Wanganui, New Zealand, though not in Christchurch, it's still pretty close to home.

Will be interesting to see what comes of this - well done!
