Growing the Kiwi entrepreneurial community, 10 at a time

Ten tech entrepreneurs are off to a week-long course at MIT in the US thanks to sponsorship from the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE).

Kiwi entrepreneurs Andre Bate (Insight), Rachael Lacy (Darcy Polychrome), Craig Clarke (Ice Solutions), Jody Bullen (Yonix), Jacqueline Lee (Southern Truffles), Scott Barrington (BIM Stop), Andrew Nicol (Apoge), Danushka Abeysuriya (Rush Digital), Greg Fahey (Kahu Technologies) and Neil Pattinson (Canterbury Scientific) were picked to attend MIT’s Entrepreneurial Development Programme (EDP) in January.

Among other things, candidates had to submit a one-minute video pitch to a panel of expert judges.
Representatives from about 50 New Zealand companies have attended the MIT’s EDP programme since 2007, including serial Kiwi entrepreneur Derek Handley,
