The look and functionality of Kim Dotcom’s long awaited music service Baboom has been revealed and so far it’s a showcase of the internet entrepreneur and his album Good Times.

The preview pages show users can listen to or download the 17 tracks from the album, search for music, track social media activity and use an online jukebox.

The site also features Dotcom’s music videos and photos.

The service professes to empower artists, giving them the ability to select what users can download free.

Dotcom tweeted the service had seen 78,321 song plays in the first hour, adding, “Hello RIAA, this will be your grave: http://Baboom.com”.

The preview shows users can follow Dotcom on Twitter, where he has 344,096 followers. Baboom has 1697 Twitter followers and more than 1000 Facebook likes.

Dotcom’s artist profile page tells them he was born Kim Schmitz on 21 January 1974 in Kiel, Germany and is also known as Kimble and Kim Tim Jim Vestor. It goes on to give details of piracy accusations against him and the launch of his cloud service Mega.

The profile page also gives links to his social media accounts and website.

The preview site also offers a Good Times contest for artists to remix five of Dotcom’s tracks: Good Times, Party Electricity, Good Life, Change Your Life and Amazing, and could win US$5000. They can also make new videos for them and have a chance to win US$10,000.
