If you’re the kind of person who reckons your friends are always dating losers, there’s a new app that lets you put your money where your mouth is. ForeverNot doesn’t just involve betting on whether your mates’ relationships will survive, it lets you gamble on the prospects of celebrity couples as well.

The Facebook app’s free to download and you get gambling chips by winning, inviting friends, tweeting to celebrity accounts or buying chips. Then you swipe left for ‘forever in love’ or right for ‘not’, keeping track of the relationship scores of couples you’ve taken a punt on. It’s all a bit icky, but will bring out some people’s inner gossip.

Experiments in Radiohead

A growing number of music stars are releasing apps to complement their music (among them are Lady Gaga and Bjork) and now UK band Radiohead has joined the party. Images and sounds from the track Bloom are the centrepiece of the digital collaboration with designers Universal Everything and the result is a visually appealing clip that gradually sees patterns emerge from darkness.

It uses the direction sensor on Apple devices to let you explore the scenery and when a red dot appears you can click on it to be transported to another set of visuals.

A sensor in your ear

Apple patent filings always seem to strike fear into the hearts of rival vendors and hope into those of the brand’s fans. One of the latest is reportedly aimed at developing sensors in earbud headphones to monitor vital signs. That sounds like it could spur a new leap in wearable tech.
