App review: Moving messages

No, this isn’t a review of a dating app or anything adults only. But it is about something that makes your messages sexy.

Many messaging apps stick to text, but Wordeo takes your text and gives it a video shakeup.

Making and sharing video messages hasn’t traditionally been an easy task, because you’d need to find footage, edit it, give it captions and find ways to distribute what you’d made.

Wordeo’s creators say the iOS app will allow you to create and send a video in less than 30 seconds, far less than the hours or days this process used to take.

You can choose to let Wordeo do the work by searching Getty Images’ library of video content for appropriate moving images to go with your words, or you can choose clips you’ve made yourself.

Wordeo will also select a font and a soundtrack for your video, but you can also do this. Sharing is easy via the major social platforms but if you know lots of people who also use the app, you can follow them via the in-app newsfeed.

An Android version is also in the works.
