Tech to take centre stage in Christchurch

The Kiwi tech sector has good reason to converge on Christchurch next month with events serving up a dose of innovation and a roadmap for success.

NZTech is hosting Rethinking Success, which boasts a lineup of entrepreneurs, VCs and industry and government figures.

Keynote speakers include 20-year industry veteran Wayne Norrie, a New Zealand Trade and Enterprise board member and Hi-Tech Awards Trust chair, and NZX head of markets Aaron Jenkins, speaking about the new growth market for emerging companies.

They’re followed by a panel discussion with members including Enatel’s Dennis Chapman, Sir Gil Simpson from Jolly Good Software, GeoOp’s Leanne Graham, Xero’s Rod Drury and Scott Bradley from VMob.

A day earlier the Innovation Council’s Innovation Heroes roadshow rolls into town. Innovators, including the supreme winner of last year’s Innovation Awards, Pacific Edge CEO David Darling, will talk about their business building journeys.

The third significant event is the Hi-Tech Awards gala awards dinner, recognising winners in 12 categories.
