Fly Buys gives nod to mums in business

Mums have until 20 June to enter an awards programme that honour mumtrepreneurs, mothers who run their own ventures.

The scheme is open to any mum running a business while also raising kids at home, across any industry and at any stage of the business’ lifecycle.

The 30,000 Fly Buys points on offer to the winner of the Supreme Mumtrepreneur title will be enough to overhaul a venture’s technology or for return flights and accommodation for a family holiday, Fly Buys says.

The awards were set up to recognise mothers who have taken an entrepreneurial idea and turned it into reality, says CEO Stephen England-Hall. “We know the barriers to success for anyone starting a business are high, let alone for women whose focus and energy is also needed elsewhere in their lives.

“Fly Buys want to celebrate this group who are no doubt some of the busiest people in the country,” he says.

The Supreme winner will be chosen from five categories: Best Product or Service, best Online or Technology Business, Best Creative Business, Best Food and Beverage Business and the Best Agribusiness.

They’ll be judged by Trilogy co-founder and mumtrepreneur Catherine de Groot.
