In the dark bowels of an old slate mine, webbed netting holds a group of people, suspended 20-180 feet above ground. It sounds like the stuff of nightmares, or at least production notes for Aragog’s attack in Chamber of Secrets. In reality, it’s rather beautiful and absolutely genius.

Wales newest summer attraction is called Bounce Below and brings together three massive trampolines interconnected by stairs and chutes – one of them 60 feet long and sure to please thrill seekers. The subterranean playground, twice the size of London’s St Paul’s Cathedral, is accessed by train and each visitor is given overalls and a helmet for protection (it’s like mum telling you to watch your head all over again). Colourful LEDs shine a light on the depth of the cavern.

The attraction, created by Zip World founder Sean Taylor, opens July 4.?
