Auckland’s waterfront-based writing centre The Creative Hub offers a 6-week Travel Writing and Photography Course from 12 April 2011. Tutor Yvonne van Dongen is one of New Zealand’s most respected travel writers and editors – as Travel Editor of the New Zealand Herald and of onHoliday Magazine she has won numerous awards. Award-winning Photographer Greta Anderson has worked for numerous diverse publications and lectured in photography at Elam, Unitec and the Sydney College of the Arts. These days travel editors see the value in writers who can supply their own images, making this a critical component of the course and Greta makes it great fun by taking us out ‘on assignment’, camera in hand, around Auckland.
