ATEED seeks events to lavish cash on
By Idealog,
Are you an event planner looking for someone with cash to throw your way? Then rejoice, for Auckland Tourism, Events and Economic Development (ATEED) is calling for applications from parties looking for sponsorship of major events.
The annual sponsorship window is open from now until February 5 and
applications are open to any major event proposed to be held in
Auckland between July 1, 2012 and June 30, 2013.
Jennah Wootten, manager major events, said ATEED was open to a variety of
new and different proposals.
“Auckland has hosted a high calibre of events in the past 12 months
including the ITU Triathlon, New Zealand Fashion Week, Lantern Festival,
FIH 2011 Champions Trophy and Auckland Cup Week. ATEED wants to
consolidate and build an even stronger portfolio of dynamic events in
2012 that aligns closely with our recently adopted Major Events
Strategy,” she said.
Priority will be given to events
with the strongest alignment to the Major Events Strategy, a
document which provides a framework to evaluate major events and develop
a portfolio to help the region achieve both its economic and social
aspirations.
Sponsorship decisions will be released between March and May 2012.
