And they’ll be doing so under the watchful eyes of local designer David Trubridge, and Formica’ s U.S. Vice President of Design Renée Hytry Derrington, who have both been named as two of the judges for the competition.

    2011 marks the 50th year of the famed Milan Design Week, and organisers are celebrating the monumental milestone by giving it the theme, "50 Years Young".     Lovers of David Trubridge’s work can catch up with his latest pieces and some of the best that he exhibited recently at the Milan Fair at an exhibition at Simon James Design in Auckland starting July 22 until August 21. The exhibition will feature a selection of new lighting including a new coloured version of his coral lights, an extension of his Ebb range and a new plinth in woven translucent material for Cloudy Bay.
