  • Kiwi architecture firm nabs contract to redesign entire National Australia Bank network

    It’s always good to see Kiwis doing well overseas and the latest contract nabbed by architecture firm Warren and Mahoney is testament to that. The firm won the contract to redesign the National Australia Bank (NAB) network of banks — all 760 of them. And joining the firm on the project will be fellow Kiwi company, branding specialist and design agency DNA.

    It was a time when Vanilla Ice was cool, Windows 3.0 was released and Tim Berners-Lee came up with a little thing called HTML. But 1990 also saw the birth of a company in Wellington called BNA design. Fast forward through an impressive client list that has included the likes of Telecom, Solid Energy, Formway, National Bank, NZTE and Yellow Pages, coupled with a scientific name change, and you get to the auspicious milestone of design agency DNA’s 21st birthday. To mark the occassion, DNA showed this video to clients and staff at their recent 21st parties in Auckland and Wellington. Having partied with the DNA folks at their Auckland bash, we were mightily impressed with the witty documentation of the DNA story so far, so go on, have a gander for yourself.
