The realities of climate change might float in and out of people’s consciousness, but starting tomorrow campaign '24 Hours of reality’ is hoping to drive the shaky reality home on a global scale. The brain child of Al Gore, the campaign consists of a new multimedia presentation created by Gore that will be delivered once per hour for 24 hours over September 14 and 15. Kicking off New Zealand’s participation will be founder and chief executive of the Sustainable Business Network, Rachel Brown, who will deliver Gore’s multimedia presentation at an event at Auckland Museum. You can watch the event unfold, including the New Zealand leg, online or if you fancy getting out and mingling, a series of viewing parties have been organised around the country.

Resene’s technical director Colin Gooch debated whether or not it is in fact mainstream. Perhaps it is, perhaps it isn’t. But what he does know is that practicing sustainability is commonsense.
